    oil starvation?
On a B31 isn't the oil pickup the pump which is now sitting at 8 oclock so its either starved or the bottom of the crankcase is full of oil because its not getting pumped out of the lowest part
Similarly one shaft of the gearbox must be permanently out of the oil
    Strange

I forget which Friendface group I got it from, but iirc it mentioned it being a factory prototype.

Its interesting to see a mono shock on a bike that ended production in the late 50s

Heavy and low powered lump for a dirt bike though, if its a factory prototype why not a DBD32/34 ?

Definitely intriguing though, I have a soft spot for BSAs

On this day in 2007, legendary racer Beryl Swain sadly died.

Beryl Swain became first woman to race at the Isle of Man TT on a 50cc Itom in 1962.

Certainly among the most influential, Beryl finished 22nd out of 25 finishers, with an average of 48mph on her 50cc Itom.

I like her jumper over the leathers look.

That's kinda how I picture BikeBreaker. Only not quite so fast, according to her accounts.

The gearbox might by grease rather than oil filled. Though that might not make much difference.

Anyway, it looks like the front mudguard barely misses the head.

    Definitely classes as interesting.
