    Part of a tour.

Chamonix deserves more than a day: I couldn't do the Mer de Glace and the Aiguille du Midi, see the town and ride the luge in a day. Not sure you'd want to either. The run up to the Furka, one of the greatest alpine passes I sampled, is a short ride from Chamonix. The roads around Andermatt are typical alpine quality... many can be bagged in a hard days ride, over a few days you could do most of them easily. Anyway, enough of that... I haven't adjusted these shots so they come raw, as it were, just a warning in advance that the exposure in some is excusable, excuse me, I am not a photographer.

    ... a local map

I trust you will be doing the Furka/Grimsel/Sustan Loop?

What out for the police with radar guns ...

I know that are well - and fill up with gas when you can because you never know when you will see another gas station

oh yeah, that's probably one of the best runs. Have had suisse & german speed tickets forwarded to my UK address, although on both counts they've been issued for driving [not riding] on motorways... you really wouldn't want to speed through here, although I'm sure some do... it'd be madness on the passes, and often on the furka you'd see these signs directed at motorcyclists urging them to slow down with a fatality count.

I've got most of those Chamonix pictures, all I can say is, if YOU haven't put it in your diary.
