Well, I guess the circuit owners don't mind the area is a shit hole. That way the people come to watch the events camp at the circuit, eat at the circuit, drink at the circuit, stay at the circuit hotels. More money for them with a captive audience.

I don't think it will happen either though.

This ridiculous charade must soon come to an end - Circuit of Wales directors accused of false finance claims

    From the story -

Directors behind the Circuit of Wales project have been accused of making false claims about financial backing.

Monmouth MP David Davies said they made false claims about securing backing from BMW, and General Electric (GE) for a separate project.

The MP claimed Mr Carrick falsely said he "brought in capital" from GE to another project in Fleetwood, Lancashire, when asked about his ability to draw funds.

However, the company said it had not offered any funding.

Also, he claimed Mr Whitaker said BMW offered backing to the Ebbw Vale racetrack project, despite the company saying "at no point" had it developed any plans.

It's dead, it just refuses to lie down. The only question is how much money has been siphoned out of it and by whom...

A google round Mr Carrick and his financial affairs is quite interesting. Things such as payments by the HOVDF into a consultancy that he owns. Or who's been paying his gardening bills.

And so the sorry tale continues......... Circuit of Wales decision delayed after 'inaccuracies'

From the story - "The project has already had more than 9.3m in loans and grants from the Welsh Government.

In April, the Wales Audit Office said there were "significant shortcomings" in the way that funding was approved."

So, that's 9.3 million that'll never be seen again.

Which circuit is hosting events while this debacle plays out?
